    Landlord is giving trouble?
    HI,
    I am living in rented house in Bangalore. My owner's brother is also staying in the same lane (Exactly opposite to our house). The problem is yesterday he cut down the cable wire (Big DISH TV cable). The owners brother is cable operator in our locality, he ordered his worker to cutdown cable wire (apart from his own cable) as the cables are annoynig to some body(he giving the excuse). When we asked about that he claiming fear lessly saying yeah I have asked my person to do that. Even he also warning, if you connect also I will ask my worker to cut down.
    How to deal with this person, his main intension is to vacate us (we are living in that premises from almost 3 years). Now he asking us to give the rent of 6500 (previously we use to pay 4500). As we have not given any answer for that he is doing it seems.
    Can anybody suggest us how to go about with this person?

    Where is the owner? What has he said about this?
    Would it help to call the police or go file a report?
    It does sound like the brother wants your house for his family or friends, and you may want to start looking for a new rental. If your landlord won't stop his own brother, this might be hopeless.
