    Ex Giving trouble
My husband and I have been married for 8 years, he has two children from a previous marriage. He's ex is always starting trouble and the first thing that always comes out of her mouth is I'm going to tell the girls what kind of father you are or I'm getting a lawyer and the girls are never coming back to your house just because he does not give her her way. But the first thing she always does is throws off on me I take well care of these two girls I treat them as if they were my own, matter of a fact they are treated the same as my child. When I see them in town they are not allowed to speak to me or their half sister and their mother always has bad things to tell them about my child and mother like calling them fat different things of this nature. Is their any thing we can do to stop this herrassment. We live in Georgia

Banshee, I feel you! She sounds like a very bitter woman indeed-she needs to hang out with my ex husband. The most important factor here are the kids-never lose sight of them, never let them see you act any other way but cordial and warm towards their mom. Keep all discussions about her in a positive light. You've got to be the better person and stop keeping score. Can you imagine what these kids feel like, being with someone like this? I've kept my mouth shut for years and lo and behold, my daughter is seeing her father's true colors as she grows up. You give her enough rope and she will a) hang herself with it, or b) mellow out and see she's getting no reaction from you.

Thanks for the advice. I believe the kids are already seeing just what kind of vindicted person she really is.
