I have been experiencing a serious issue since August. I started a birth control regimen,the depo shot, and have been experiencing strange symptoms since September. The most prevalent being a very dark brown discharge that occurs daily and has a sticky clump texture. Intercourse is also painful since the issues and my periods are very Irregular. What is causing this issue.

It is possibly due to the depo. What you have been experienced has been experienced by other women as well when they have started the depo injections. The pain during intercourse can sometimes be caused by dryness. Using lubrication may help. Irregular cycles are very common while using depo. Some women will bleed more frequently, others will find that they have fewer periods or that they stop altogether.

For some women the concerns subside, others find that an alternative to the depo becomes necessary. Speak to your doctor about what you are experiencing and discuss what options you may have.
