First, do you have a color printer? Second, what software are you printing from? Third, is the printer properly installed on your laptop?

Firstly you need to be connected to a coluor printer and also have the correct drivers installed on your system.
The settings for printing in colour, or otherwise, are within the properties tab of your installed printer.
If you would care to give us more detailed information, such as the make and model of printer also what you are trying to print, this would be useful.

Do you have this printer correctly installed on your computer.
The driver is available on the HP website.

If you are using the correct drivers, and you create colored text or insert colored graphics into Word then it should print in color. If its not, then you either don't have the proper drivers installed or your drivers are set to print only in draft mode. You have to right click on the printer and select properties to adjust them.

If the proper driver is installed then it should have many preferences.

There should be more tabs. Can you take a screen shot and attach it?

You know what might be easier is if I just delete the printer off my computer and then re-add it and then I could maybe change some setting

Yes I have a colored printer
Anything I print (eg.word documents, images, everything... ) doesn't work no matter what I'm printing
I think it may not be properly installed on my computer but I can't figure out how to... wait I have an idea lol
