Interesting question - my research turns up lots about "around" the nipples and nothing "from" the nipples. Hopefully someone else will come along to answer this.

I am reading that high levels of hormones can cause unwanted hair growth - but I don't know if this is the same thing.

Has a Doctor examined the hair, perhaps in connection with your physical exam?

Again - I don't get stumped often but I can find nothing!

Sue, remember, it is not uncommon. Moreover, for the time being you can TRIM it. But, it is due to some harmonal imbalance. When you say that you do not take any hormonal medicine, I want to remind you that sometimes, harmonal disturbances or imbalances take place due to the improper diet and even due to some biochemical changes or compulsions in body.

Do not worry, but yeah, do not forget to ask your medico.

Probably just a hormonal shift - I wouldn't worry about it.
