If appliances are in a rental can a landlord remove them?
The house I am renting was sold and the new lease is to begin Dec. 1st. Yesterday my current landlord came and took the refrigerator and stove from the house. My lease with here doesn't end until the end of this month. Is there anything I can do?

I would call the new owner and ask if the refrigerator and stove was suppose to be sold with the house?

And ask him when he is going to deliver new ones ?

Does your lease stipulate that you get those items as part of your rental? Your "current" landlord is not your landlord at all if the house has sold. You may have had a lease with him prior to the sale but that lease transfers when the house is sold. Does you new lease say you get a frig and stive included?

Your old landlord is likely a thief. If you knew the house had been sold, why did you allow the old landlord to take the items?

Did you report this to the new owners? It is up to them to report this theft. It is also up to them to replace the appliances. A refrigerator and stove are standard appliances in a rental.
