We have a terrible roommate, have given her a 30 Day notice as per California law
She has not begun to pack, we want her gone by November 30th. We've contacted a lawyer and they're taking their sweet time getting back to us but I want her gone. She hasn't even paid rent for the month of November yet. Honestly, I don't even care about the money anymore- she is rude to my guests, inconsiderate, smokes weed in my house constantly (she DOES have a medical license to do so but I am 7 months pregnant and lately she's been smoking in ALL rooms, not just hers)takes hour long showers in the middle of the night and won't change her behavior no matter how nicely or how often we ask her to. We served her with a 30 Day Notice to Terminate Tenancy and she has so far made no attempt to pack. I do not know if she has even tried to look for another place. I am more than willing to have her forcibly removed, I just need to know what to do if she hasn't left by the 30th.

If she hasn't paid NOV try serving her with a pay or quit notice. You can give her a short time (I think its 3 days in CA) then you ca start eviction proceedings if she doesn't pay.

But that's the next step. If she doesn't leave by the deadline, you have to file with your local court for an eviction order.
