    Bryant baseboard heater wattage?
Hello. I have some very old Bryant electric baseboard heaters in my vacation home and am trying to determine the wattage. Of course there is nothing on the heaters themselves. Two are 6ft long one is 5ft and the last is 28in. I am looking to replace the wiring to all these heaters and was wondering if I could get away with 12/2 wiring and 20 amp breaker. Thanks in advance.

Traditionally, a 6 foot heater is 1500 watt unit, 1250 watt for 5 foot, and could be 500 watts for the 28" unit.

This totla 4750 watts, at 240 volts is 19.8 amps, and if all on one circuit would need to be a 30 amp circuit with #10 wire.

Better you install 20 amp two circuits with #12 wire, one for the two 6 foot units, and one for the other units.
