    Child daycare expense.
    I have a child (age 3) and sent daycare for 3 months. Can I claim child daycare expenses during the tax filing even if my wife is not student and doesn't work? If yes let me know the process.

    Yes, you can.

    Your wife being a student is an exception to the BOTH PARENTS WORKING requirement.

    For purposes of the credit, they impute just enough income to qualify for the child care credit.
