    Can't remember name of book?
    A young women goes to work at a historical place like Williamsburg as a waitress. She takes the name of someone who used to live during that time. Maybe colonial times. It might have been in Canada. Eventually she travels back in time to take the place of the person who's name she took and is stuck back in time. The rest of the book focuses on how she adapts to life back then.

    Why don't you go to a library or a book store and ask someone if they have ever heard of the book?
