Motion sensing light powered off, on, and motion
How can I wire a motion sensing outdoor light to be either switched on, off, or motion detected on.

Do you mean to have switches that you can reach that does what the little switch settings do on the sensor?

Almost every motion detector light I have installed is set to work the way you want. Wire the light. With switch in OFF, no light. Wait 2-3 minutes and turn power on. Light should function in motion detector mode. Now, with light on, switch off the light for 2-3 seconds and turn it back on. Light should be on all the time. Turn off for 2-3 minutes and then back on resets it to motion detection.

Yes with a wall switch, not on the light itself

90% of the motion detector lights I install for my customers are flood lights, set at eave height. Wall switch is the only way to control them. Are you talking about a switch you could install in the light? If so, you could use a single pole slide switch that would interrupt the hot at the light if no wall switch is available. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish.
