    Legal last name of child
    Who picks the last name for the child when not married but the father is listed on the birth cet and total involved with everything.

    The mother has control initially. But if the father takes it to court with a dna verified paternity test he Can file a motion with the court to have the name changed.

    Yes he can file such a motion, but its unlikely to be granted. Only if he is granted primary custody. And the odds are against that.

    The chances of that motion being approved are slim to none.

    Please give us your source of this info in case I'm missing something.
