    Toilet water supply leak
    Yesterday I walked into a small puddle in my bathroom. It was coming from the toilet's water supply hose. I turned the water off at the angle stop and the leak stopped.I live in a condo that requires the entire floor's water to be turned off in order to address the leak.

    The board must advise the owners and tenants of the water being turned off in order to repair the leak.
    The plumber said it was fine for me to use toilet provided that I turn off the water after use.The plumber is coming tmw.

    I believe this should be a relatively inexpensive repair but would appreciate a ballpark estimate and an idea of what it could be to not fall victim to unfair pricing. My husband is out of town and usually handles this department.
    Please advise.

    Are you in Rural Arkansas or Lower Manhattan? Location will determine the labor rates, but the materials prices will be in the same ballpark. Also travel time will factor into the minimum charge.

    Actually this is something I could do myself for under $40 for materials only ( like if your husband did it) in the worst case situation. But the labor charges are what's going to run up the bill.

    Why would they need to turn off water to the entire floor if the problem is between the wall shutoff and the toilet?
