This question is in regards to a vacation home in the north ga, mountains that has been in my family for years. I feel a little nervous posting this but I, my friends, and my girlfriend are now afraid of the place. There have been weird events in that house since we bought it, but recently I believe it has gotten more sinister in nature. My girlfriend and me went up there recently and the second we got up there we started to get real 'resentful?' of each other if that is the right word for it, we fought for almost 2 days straight which is very atypical for us. Finally we decided that we needed to go back to the city and would leave the next morning.

That night, I think it started for me at about six in the evening. I started to have all these brutal images pop into my head. I shook them off as best I could at about 8 we went to sleep, mainly cause I couldn't take the images anymore. At about 11 she wakes me up scared to death saying there is someone in the house. I grab my pistol and walk out of the bedroom and see that all the drawers in the entertainment center are open in a descending stair step pattern, all the cabinets in the kitchen are open, I hear footsteps so run to where they came from and then I see a black figure with glowing red eyes staring at me. I tell her to grab her stuff and we're getting out of there. When I lock the door to the house the second the lock turns I hear an animal like roar so loud I have to cover my ears, but she doesn't hear it all. Question: How is that possible? Is this a bad thing? I've seen movies where evil ghosts follow people around, will this happen to us? Any help would be awesome.

Yes, it does sound like something is going on there. Having a spirit in the home very often will lead to fights and other characteristics that people don't usually do. Although it can happen, I wouldn't worry about it following you home. Don't worry about what happens in movies. Someone with experience from a local church can remove this thing. Something may have happened in the past on that home that allowed it to come it.

Thank you for the information, I appreciate it. So something that happened in the home or on land I'm guessing could have caused this? I have one more question: If we go back the house will this figure try and hurt us?

As far as the spirits intend toward your family I cannot tell you. I do believe ALL spirits are harmful... but they vary in degree. If it were my home I certainly would not allow it to stay. Hauntings will typically occur when either a tragedy happened or a gateway was opened. I believe the same spirits are behind either cause.
