    How do I install a Honeywell programmable thermostat?
    How do I install a Honeywell programmable thermostat if the only wires I have coming out of my wall are red and black, and neither of them are labeled?

    How many red and black wires do you have ? Are they still installed to the old tstat?, if so tag them seporatly as you remove them as to the markings on the old tstat
