    I have full physical and legal custody of my 7yr old, my ex hasn't seen her since 200
    I have full physical and legal custody of my 7yr old, my ex hasn't seen her since 2006, I an married now and she has a sibling with his and my new last name, can I file for abandonment and get her name changed to my new husband and what is the waiting period in Ohio

    You can't file for abandonment, you may use abandonment as grounds to change the name, but I doubt if a court will go along with it over the bio father's objections.

    A better alternative will be to have your new husband adopt. In either case, I would consult a local Family Law attorney. They will know the mood of the local courts in matters such as this.
