15 years old & concerned about pregnancy.
First off, please do not post rude comments. I'm only asking for your help, and advice. Thank you!
I am fifteen years old, and will be turning sixteen before my freshman year of high school is over. I've never been in a more serious relationship, until now. My boyfriend and I do not use condoms, and my mom is aware of that. She personally went out and bought us a pack, but we've never considered it. It's not because we don't need them, but we don't necessarily like using them, and we both feel comfortable with the fact of a possible pregnancy. I am on the DEPO shot, but it has had me on my period for about 4 weeks now, and I am about to switch over to the pill. If my boyfriend, and I continue to have unprotected sex, and he does not pull out (at all), is it still a very good chance of me getting pregnant?

There is always a risk of pregnancy whether you use birth control. The risk is much higher if you don't.

You may feel comfortable with the fact of possible pregnancy, but your body isn't mature enough to handle it.

Pregnant teens are in a high risk group because their bodies haven't finished growing. You risk things like preterm delivery. This might make your baby stay in the hospital for months. There are other serious health risks associated with being a teen and pregnant.

    Please protect yourself.

You can even get pregnant while using ANY type of birth control. No matter what kind. The only sure, relaible way is abstinance. That is 100% reliable and guaranteed to work. Why not try it?

NO ONE should be engaging in sexual intercourse unless they are physical, emotionally and financially prepared to have a child. You are neither.

My help and advice is that you should stop trying to play at being an adult. That you should stop risking your health and the possible life you are risking bringing into this world.

You say nothing about how long you have been in this relationship. But sex is not a recreation. Its something that should only be shared between people in a long term committed relationship. At 15 you are hardly likely to be in that position.

Finally, please don't presume to dictate how we respond to your questions. If you feel someone has violated the rules of this site, you can report the response. But don't tell us how to respond.
