I have a straight raised line on the inside lip of my vagina and at first I thought it was an infected hair but then I heard they generally grown in a circle. I've tried soaking it but I'm scared to touch it because it's so sore. I know I'm free of diseases and such, but I was wondering if anybody knows what it could be?

Hi,Paigeryane... do you have any dis-charge? does it itch?are you using any different products in that area that might irritate, maybe cause a reaction.

Maybe you've change your washing liquid or sofener or shower gel,deodorant, it could be lots of things like that... if your answer is no to all of the above,then are you passing urine more frequently,getting up during the night,feeling that you always need to pass water?

Sometimes if you have a urine infection, it can affect the vagina.The openings are very close together which can allow the urine to tricke down to the opening of the vagina making it very sore.Also if you wipe yourself the right way which is towards your back this would,if any infection might be there carry it to that area.General movement plus clothing against the infected area would cause extreme soreness constantly rubbing the infected area would cause inflammation which would be very sore and swollen.

Go see your doctor,take a sample of urine with you,he can test it there and then telling you whether or no there is any infection present.He might at the same time also take a swab from the vagina,just to check all is OK there.

Wear loose clothing in that area,this will allow the air to circulate,if you have a skirt or dress on, take off your underwear it will be much cooler and far more comfortable for you.

See your Doctor as soon as possible for a correct diagnoses.
