    Kenmore dryer model 10064632300 does not heat, timer stopped working
    Is it possible that the timer can cause the element not to heat

    Yes it is possible for the timer to cause no heat in dryer but very unlikely. When you turn on the dryer to timed cycle does the timer continue to advance? If it does the timer is OK.

8 years old, Gas It has been acting up for a few days... not starting right. You have to turn the dial around to different spots and then maybe it would go. Then It just stopped fully. Called repair service for this Thursday.
