    My cat is acting strangely..
We found a stray pregnant cat a little over a month ago. After roughly 1-2 weeks she gave birth so we took her in. It's been a couple of weeks now and she's been completely normal. We have her and her kittens in the kitchen. But today she's been acting kind of strange. She does this weird noise (like a mix of a purr and a meow) and has been meowing more than usual (she was always pretty quiet, only meowing as a greeting if she hadn't seen us in a day). Sometimes she looks up at me straight in the eyes and meows, as if something is wrong. & this morning, I was peeking in the box that she and her kittens stay in. After a couple of seconds, she actually stood up in the box, leaned over, put her paw on my face, and looked me in the eye. I was pretty startled, & she backed down.
Does anyone know what's going on with her?

Hi. Very sweet of you to take her in! <3
I'm wondering--does she get breaks from the kittens and get to walk around? She's not been confined this whole time has she?

    Thank u(:

And yes, she does get time away from the kittens. The kittens stay in the box so she takes care of them in there, but she always goes in and out whenever she pleases. She actually sleeps outside of the box away from the kittens sometimes.

Maybe she's going into heat again--they can go into it again 1 to 2 months after giving birth.
? :/ the purr-meow combonation makes me suspect that. Maybe she's got a crush on you! ;)
