The lights keep on going off and on only when my husband leaves the house.
The lights at my my house go on and off but only when my husband is not home. I have had an electrician come and check it out and he says there is nothing wrong.Sometimes I wake up and see a shadow at the other end of the house. Is my house haunted and what can I do about it? Why does it only happen when my daughter and I are alone in the house?

It takes a tremendous amount of energy for a ghost to turn off and on lights. The ghost is trying to get your attention.

I have several entities in my home that like to move things around like my son's carton of smokes from my bedroom out to the livingroom. We will find lights turned off in the LR that we keep on all the time 24/7 and the bulbs did not blow out - just the switch turned off.

You can't really do anything about this phenomenon going on in your house as some ghost might be trying to get your attention for some reason.

Investigate who used to own your home and see if you are drawn to any particular owner or family that once lived there. Sometimes ghosts will "hitch a ride" on a piece of furniture (this happened to me once). What new thing have you brought into your home?

Yes, spirits can cause electrical phenomena... and just about anything else you can imagine. Since you had the house checked out by an electrician we'll assume a natural explanation has been ruled out. How long/often have these experiences been going on? I believe spirits manifest to women more often than men (and we don't get in to why right now). But another thing that frequently happens is where one spouse sees something while the other never does. I believe one reason for this is to divide the family, cause strife, tension and a general breaking apart of what was once normal. Again, how long has this been going on and if you know anything about the history of the home that can help as well.

My "ghosts" like to say things while I am at the other end of my home. My son distinctly hears someone saying something coming from my room and I don't hear this. One time I distinctly heard someone in my LR and when I quickly went into the room my son was deeply sleeping on the couch. He does not talk in his sleep either. The ghosts don't want to cause strife, they are just making their presence known.

Apparently OP is more sensitive than her husband is and that it why they demonstrate their powers in front of her.

Most ghosts don't have a "hidden agenda" they are mostly benign.

Ghosts usually appear at night. They can't see very well in the daytime hours. The way they see the world is almost like through a very dense fog that wavers similar to what you would see in a heat mirage during the summer. I've seen what they see and it's hard for them to really accurately see but they are used to it.

Actually we know nothing about the amount of energy it takes for spirits to do anything. Almost everything that is "known" about the spiritual world is theory.

I disagree on this. It is NOT theory. It does take a lot of energy for them to manifest an image or manifest a voice, smell, or an object. Can you do this? No. Can I do this? No. They do not produce electrical phenomena either, they just flip a light switch or turn a light switch to turn the light on. They do not manifest the light.

ACTUALLY, spirits appear to be capable of about everything. They can manifest physically solid. They can harm. They CAN produce light. They CAN cause electrical phenomena... they are not people... they don't have to physically touch a light switch or a TV on/off to do something. A guy I worked with who was having some haunting issues even had a brand new telephone still in the box... no power/battery installed whatsoever... the phone started ringing inside the box. All these ideas about how and why spirits work ARE theories because nobody really understands how that side of the veil works.
