    How to get my rights back
    I just had a baby and my cousin is going to adopt her and right now they are tempary gardians right now can I get her back?

    You need to give us a lot more information before we can answer. Where are you located? Under what circumstances did your cousin get temporary guardianship? How long has the child been in custody of your cousin? What was supposed to be the final outcome? Have you signed anything?

    Did you go to court to relinquish parental rights?

    If you have not gone to court for relinquishment, you can change your mind before you DO relinquish rights.

    If you HAVE signed relinquishment papers before a judge, then we need to know what state you are in and a lot more details about your circumstances.

    If they have guardianship, you need to go back to court to have custody reinstated to you.
