Nail polish remover + tattoos (urgent)
I'm spending a month in China and a few days ago I got a tattoo. I went to get some sort of lotion to put on it, but apparently I don't know enough Chinese to do that.
I asked for a non-scented lotion without Vaseline in it and they gave me nail polish remover. They thought I wanted to remove it?
Now I'm flipping out because there's nail polish remover (probably the opposite of what I'm SUPPOSED to use) on my tattoo. I have already washed it off but it stings and I'm just really afraid. What should I do?

Yes it will sting, but you should be OK if you washed it with warm water and mild soap. It's acetone, so you wouldn't want it in your eyes or mouth, and some of it got into the tender tattoo wounds a little, but unless you got all red and puffy and have a fever, you will be OK. Keep your skin clean, washing gently and often with just a little mild soap and lots of water. You may find it difficult to find a lotion that is totally unscented and natural, and hence not irritating. Plain aloe if you can find an aloe plant; open a leaf and the white liquid is soothing.

Its going to be OK. You should wash it with warm soap and water. It may sting for a little while but it will go away in a couple of weeks. Hope my advice was helpful.

Just wash it with warm water and soap until it doesn't sting anymore. If it keeps stinging for months then go to a doctor urgent. Hope my advice helps you.
