Hi, I have a 7 week old Malamute. He was born the runt of the litter and he was bottle fed till a week ago. When I brought him home he started to eat hard puppy food. He's potbellied and his stools are runny. Is he sick or is this normal puppy behavior?

Any one of a number of things can cause loose stools in a new puppy including a sudden change in diet. Did you get a record of shots with him? Call the vet you plan to use, and give them the info on the shots. Likely the vet will want the puppy in for more shots before long. If so, give the puppy a few days to stabilize. Some of the stuff will go away on its own, and some must have the vet's attention. If it turns to diarrhea, call the vet at once.
