    How to wire a hunter fan with remote control
    I have a hunter fan with remote and light. The box has 3 wires. 1 Red, 1 black 1 white.
    There are 2 swithces for this fan. How do I wire the new fan?

    If you will only be using the remote, you do not need 2 switches. Chose one or the other as the power source, wire nut and tape the other hot at the ceiling box and then the remote will handle everything. This is a very common source of confusion as the builder sets up for 2 switches and the remotes get involved. Probably ran a 14/3 and that's hot they wired the 2 switches.

    "The box has 3 wires" which box, ceiling or wall? You must give us detailed info to get accurate answers. Is this a newly built circuit or was the box and switch box always there, what was attacted before?
