    Who should perform aqiaq for the child, father or mother's family?
    I've have heard that its fathers right to perform aqiqa. But some people says that it should be done by the mother's side. Is there any such ruling in islam?

    Do you mean Aqiqah, I thought it was the child's parents on about the 7th day of birth.
