Looking for a computer online small down small payments no layaway
Since my credit has been tarnished by a divorce and internet fraud, I am wanting to get a computer, either desktop or laptop, no membership, small down payment, small monthly payments, no layaway. I am on disability, no checking account not much to offer except the fact that my income will allow me easily to make payments of $50 a month. Any legitimate stores as described above.

    Thank You,

This is by for the worst way to buy a computer, most of your "rent to own" stores locally will do this. But any will require a higher payment than 50 dollars a month ( from ones I know)

But what happens, you will end up paying 2000 dollars for a 500 dollar computer.

Have you looked at pawn shops or other places for a nicer used unit.

If you put that 50 dollars away, even under your mattress, you could flat out just buy a computer eight and a half months. (I figured 399 for a desktop, although I have seen them for less, w/ 5% sales tax.) You could also try and buy used and pay the same price for an even nicer model. Making payments on an item like this one @ a rent to own or "credit building" place is a guaranteed way to pay hundreds more, even thousands more in fees and interest. Try and use public computers, or friends computers until you have the money saved. I will tell you, there is no feeling like walking into a store and walking out with what you worked for, free and clear.

Try looking on Ebay after you've saved up say $300 for a laptop. You can get a good Dell laptop for less than$300 from some reliable sellers that are used and have some warranty. You don't need the battery to work if the laptop works off the a/c plug. Do some checking around to see what sort of a configuration you want and then buy one. What do you want to use this for anyway? Surfing the net or playing video games or burning dvd's to watch later on your TV?

New laptops cost a fortune. Used are a little easier to buy.
