The effects of a partial hysterectomy 10 years down the road?
I am currently 27 years old. When I was 18, I had a miscarriage at 3 months caused by a large ovarian cyst on one of my ovaries (I previously had an ovarian cyst bust when I was 14- this runs in my family as well as Endometriosis). Upon finding the cyst I was scheduled for a surgery to remove said cyst. After having the operation I awoke to find out they also removed my left fallopian tube and ovary-apparently the weight of the cyst was so great it had essentially destroyed my ovary. My question is, how will this affect my chances of pregnancy, early menopause, cancer. I have not seen an OB-GYN since my operation as I have no health insurance whatsoever. ANY information on ANYTHING I should know about the later effects of such an operation would be greatly appreciated. Also, I have had no pregnancy scares since my surgery, and have been married for the past year and using no protection during intercourse. My periods have changed as well in the past few years- they are stretching out with less blood and more pain. I get only 10 a year now. Thank you for your time.
