Child support and termination of parental rights in Florida
My son was abused by his father when he was three months old. His rights were taken away, and he served time in prison. Now,years later,I applied for temporary food assistance, and the state of Florida is trying to get child support from him, even though I have turned in the paperwork showing he has no rights and can't have contact,etc.. Can they make him pay?and if so,he wants to have a relationship with my son,and I am deathly afraid he will be able to.They won't give him any rights back, will they?Note,my son is lucky to be alive,he was so severely abused by this man.

That is the usual drill for the Assistance people to go after the father for child support if you apply for food assistance. Just because his rights as a father were taken away his "right" to pay child support was not! D on't confuse the two as they are different topics under different guidelines.. If they make him pay he will have no alternative but to pay or sit in jail. As far as seeing your son again he will have to get a Court Order to do so after a hearing is held. Don't get too concerned about him doing this as it takes an attorney to accomplish this feat and lots of money as well. He'll be too concerned about fending them off from his money to worry about seeing his son again.
Relax, you're working yourself up over nothing at this point but speculating on what if's at this point.
