Sub-standard quality when burning CD-R from iTunes
Background: I wanted to burn a few CD-R copies of a playlist from iTunes. All of the songs in the playlist were uploaded from my own CDs. For burning the CD-Rs, I followed the instructions provided by iTunes. On playback, the CD-Rs had an artificial band of static (each, about one second in duration) inserted onto the burned disks at intervals ranging from one minute to two minutes apart. Three copies of the CD-Rs were made and all three copies exhibited the same bands of static at the same intervals.

Questions: Did I do something wrong during the burning process? Is there some known limitation with iTunes in terms of burning to CD-Rs? Any suggestions?

I have not had this problem. Run updates to make sure your iTuens is the latest. Are you on a Mac or PC?
