    vista freezes after startup please help. Kind of new
    First off I'm on my laptop and my desktop is the problem computer. This all started after I turned the computer off for 3 months as I was away. When I returned this happened.

    After 2-3 min after startup vista freezes and nothing can be opened. Mouse still works but it has shows the "loading" sign when I go over the taskbar, anywhere. When I click on start is freezes after it pops up. The whole computer freezes up and ctrl+alt+delete doesn't do anything just freezes comp deeper.

    I've tried looking but need help cause I'm not into the tech jargin.

    Safe mode starts great, and continues working, but I can't recover ( it is partitioned)

    Anyway can someone help me?

    It sounds like its trying to update and its freezing because of it. Have you tried just leaving it on for few hours and see what it does ?
