Kenmore Dryer timer clicks - Dryer still works
I just replaced a broken dryer belt and re-assmebled the dryer. It works now, but there is a ticket sound coming from the timer when the door is closed and the timer dial turned on, but the dryer is not turned on yet. The ticking goes away if I push the start button and the dryer starts, if I put the timer dial to off, or if I open the door to the dryer.

I am worried that the clicking might be unsafe, anyone know what this is from?

Hummm is a weird problem but try first leveling the Dryer, sometime an unlevel dryer makes the frame bend a little and maybe the mechanism is a little push by the weight. Try that first.

Thanks for the suggestion. The Dryer is level, and the ticking remains.

It is a Kenmore 70 Series. The sticker inside the door has been removed, so I do not know the model number.

That is normal on whirlpool/kenmore dryers to do that. There is nothing to worry about.
