Foot valves - brass or plastic?
I need to replace the foot valve in my well. Our water seems to corrode metals very slowly. It's got a lot of dissolved mineral salts, very hard water. I'm thinking of using a plastic foot valve to replace the brass one that's there now. I have a deep well, 2-line system with the pump in the basement. Does anyone have experience with this type of situation?

The "corrosion" was so bad that one valve had failed causing a flood. Since 75% of...
