I would say no. I doubt you can pass the background check although small Police Departments have lower standards.

In my area education beyond high school is required. Do you meet that requirement?

Although the conviction was expunged, if you are asked on your application if you have ever been convicted, you would have to answer "yes".

You ask that because of deficiencies in OP's grammar, spelling, and composition? Although not perfect, it is better than some who have posted here claiming to have advanced degrees.

First the explunged means nothing to the police background search, theirs show up every level, and will show it was explunged.

Next the DUI will not stop you from being POST certified ( assuming it was the first one and was not a felony)

So yes you can become a police officer, BUT,
Are you a military veteran ?
Do you have a 4 year degree ?
    What is your work history.

I will be blunt, the larger bigger police departments will not hire you, they get 100's of applications for any one opening many of those people with military, college degrees and more. Many from smaller departments.

Are you willing to pay for your own POST certification training, ( possible in some states, not in others)

Will you start by working several years in smaller departments, small towns, college police dept, in Georgia state farmers markets have their own police.

There are many unknown police often, the FDIC locations have their own police. Like in Atlanta, the state capitol has its own police, even though it is still inside Atlanta.

Many of the small departments have little or no benefits and very low pay, but they are a place to start.

Are you willing to move, even to a different state to get a job ?
