Toilet wax rings
What does the NO-SEEP No. 10, No. 3 or No. 1 mean? All are wax rings with flanges? Mike

Wax rings are available with or with out the horn or flange.
Numbers 10, 3 and 1 indicate thickness.

To further clarify Harold's correct answer the number referes to the thickness of the actual wax, 10 is the thickest and should only be used when the flange is recessed 1/4"+ below the surface of the flooring material surface. If you floor surface and the top surface of the flange are flus then only use a #1, otherwise the excess wax will squash over the flange and can make a partial blockage

Hello and Thank you, the problem I see is that the original flange eas put in crooked even on oneside down by 1/4 on the other. Is it possible to trim the #10 on the even side or just use the whole #10 ring and flange? Thanks again, Mike.

Any chance you can post a picture of this? Is the entire closet bend crooked or just a falnge that was added crooked? Some flanges are just pressed in place and held by a neoprene collar, maybe yours is just slipped. Can you tell us more about the closet bend material and the flange material?

What the heck, I have been answering you both yesterday and again today. I asked you additional questions this AM and have been patiently waiting for your answer. I can't help further if you don't answer my questions, especially with the negative remark now on my reputation. PS I know you are on line and reading this so tell me what's with the negative report.
