    Leak gas can spout
I have a couple of metal gas cans that leak at the spout. The spout is plastic and is two parts (like most) the actual spout and the threaded cap that you use to screw it on. The thing is, it is leaking at the joint of these two, and not where you screw it on to the can. In other words, it is leaking where the spout is attached to the threaded cap. How can I stop this?

Had the same problem. Made a gasket out of silicone on spout. Let it dry for 2 days before I used it. Used a small bead of silicone.
