Removing a Hampton Bay ceiling fan
I have an existing Hampton Bay ceiling fan, don't know the model, and am trying to remove the canopy so I can put up a new fan, but can't seem to find the screws to unscrew so I can remove it. It seems like there are inserts for 3 screws but when I put a screw driver up in there, I can't feel the screws. There are no screws on the outside. I've already taken off the decorative cover of the canopy.

Depending on the model the screws can be hidden by a plastic ring which looks just like the canopy. Put both hands on the final 1/4" of the canopy just where it touches the ceiling, give a quick counterclockwise twist to see if you have one of these collar rings. Do you know what model you have?

Yeah, but I found the instructions to it so I'm all set. Thank you anyway.

I have a hampton bay ceiling fan, that I need to move to another room. The problem is I can't remember what we did to put it up, it doesn't have screws on the outside like all other fans. I'm sure it's probably something simple I'm overlooking. Can anyone help me please!
