Self leveling concrete and basement floor
I put in an interior drainage system to a sump pump in my basement. The building is from 1909, has a stone foundation. There has always been water flowing under the floor and always will be, but not running down the walls, it has been good and dry for a few years and I want to replace the floor over the drainage system with concrete, after that I was looking for some form of self leveling product that can be poured over everything for a smooth wear surface that would be thin and also act as a moisture barrier. It is not possible to rip everything out and put down plastic and can't spare any headroom. The concrete, over 1000 sq ft.put down over the old floor in the 20's is good ,clean and sound with a corse sandy texture that will grab well, The cracks run in straight lines. The look of concrete is fine, Is there a self leveling mixture that I could order and have pumped from a local batch plant in one big pour? Or some form of bonding agent that would work as a moisture barrier?
