Hi clare, you should try to keep this in the same thread as you posted in before. That way you are creating a history anyone here can access and know what your issue is. As I said before, it is not unusual for the queen to have her kittens spaced out a bit. When did she have the first one and exactly how long has it been?

I think you should call the vet, clare. But forgot to ask, is this her first litter, because it does make a difference as to length of time for her to deliver all kittens, but quantity may vary. Could be she is only going to have one, but the vet can tell by an ultra sound how many are still to come.

I know this has already been cleared up by mother nature, but I just wanted to explain something.

Cats can stop labor for up to one full day if they feel uncomfortable, unsafe, bothered, or any other reason that they feel that continuing labor at that time is not good for her and/or the babies. As long as there are no signs of distress and there aren't any contractions, then it's usually safe to assume that labor will resume later.

Hello. My cat (cwtchy) had her four kittens just over 24 hours ago. I knew she was in labour so I changed her cat litter and it clearly hasn't been used since. Is this normal? She's eating and drinking fine. Thanks in advance :(
