    Health problems?
I started a rather intensive exercise regime since last December and limited my diet to consist of low carchoydrate content hoping to lose some weight. I consumed mainly fruits and have a tendency to consume large volumes of snacks and chocolates excessively.Yes, I have managed to lose some weight. But, recently, I missed my last period. It was supposed to be on the week where I had major exams on a daily basis. Could it be the stress factor? Also, recently, my usually fair skin has developed a tinge of yellow and is worrying for me.Could it be the stress?the carotein in the fruits?possibility of diabetes from the excessive sweet-snacks? I need help. Please note that my weight is in the healthy range. My main concern would be how I can achieve my usual skin tone as soon as possible. Thank you.Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes weight loss and excersize can affect your period cycle. How old are you? My first suggestion is talk to your doctor about all of it. And explain about the period problems. You should never go on any diet or excersize regimine without first talking to your doctor so that he is aware of what is happening.
Good luck hon. How much weight are you trying to lose? And good job on the good start! I have a weakness for chocolate too. But you should try switching to dark chocolate, as that is very good for you and your diet in moderation

    HEY, thanks for the advice, I definitely appreciate it. :}
Btw, I'm 18. I'm not planning on losing more weight but focused on keeping fit instead. At most I would have lost 3kg. Actually, I'm supposing this yellowish colouration is linked to jaundice. Is there a quick and fast way to eliminate this yellow skin tone? Recommendations?

You will need to see your doctor to determine the cause. It can be diet related, in which case eating a more varied diet is likely to help, but it could also be due to a serious health issue that would need to be addressed.

Since your focus is on being fit, be sure you are not going over the top with any one food group at the expense of others being nonexistent. Your body will work best when you are taking in all the nutrients that you need, and you have likely put that in jeopardy with the extreme diet you were following.

Defniately see a doctor about the jaundice. We can't diagnose you on here. But until you CAN get in to see the doctor, spend more time out in the sunshine. That was the treatment prescribed to my duaghter when she had it as a baby

Below is the diet I have come across quite often when searching online:

    TREATMENT CHART FOR JAUNDICE

    A - DIET

    I. Raw juice diet for 3 to 5 days. Oranges, lemons, sugarcane and carrots may be used for juices. During this period, the bowels should be cleaned daily with lukewarm water enema.

II An all-fruit diet for further 3 to 5 days, with three meals a day at five-hourly intervals.

III. Thereafter, adopt the following diet: -

    1.

Upon arising: A glass of lukewarm water mixed with half a freshly squeezed lime and a teaspoon of honey.

    2. Breakfast: Fresh fruits and a cup of fresh toned or skimmed milk, sweetened with honey or jaggery.

    3. Mid-morning: Lemon or Carrot juice.

    4. Lunch: Raw vegetable salad, steamed vegetables, whole wheat wheat tortillas and a glass of buttermilk.

    5. Mid-afternoon: Coconut water or sugarcane juice.

    6. Dinner: Vegetable soup, boiled vegetables with limejuice dressing and whole wheat wheat tortillas.

    7. Before retiring: A glass of skimmed or toned milk.

Food especially beneficial: Limejuice. Pear, lemon. Barley water. Coconut water, sugarcane juice and radish leave Juice.

Avoid: Fried and fatty foods, too much butter and clarified butter, ts, meats, tea, coffee, pickles, condiments and pulses,

    B - OTHER MEASURES

    1. Drink plenty of water with lemon juice.
    2. Adequate rest.
    3. Avoid digestive disturbances.
    4. Moderate exercise

Would you recommend me to utilise this diet chart? Let's say the cause of my jaundice is excessive carotein and high fruit consumption, would this diet still be applicable? Also, lime and lemon are acidic in nature. Please advice. TQ.
