DCF is not for the best interest for children
Department of Children & Families Secretary David Wilkins announced proposed changes, including developing new ways to measure performance at the state's abuse hotline, adding 80 child protective investigators and re-examining their role within the state's child welfare system. I am unsure DCF is protecting our children, so why do we have more investigators? Also why do they seem to be in a rush when they come to visit?
Furthermore, they lead you to believe they will check on your child and call you as soon they see the child and you never hear back from DCF. This is why Fl. State has so many dead children that should have been protected are they waiting to see another Dead Child that we’re suppose to protect such as Twins Nubia, Victor, Ju' Tyra Allen, Jermaine Mc Neil etc. The system is out of control, how can we receive justice?

" Also why do they seem to be in a rush when they come to visit?" because they aren't enough investigators to go around. The system is understaffed and , in some cases, poorly trained to handle all of the problems. However, lack of investigators does not create the issues, it just is not going to cure the issues caused by poor parenting.

This is essentially a rant against the system. While it may help you feel better, its not going to do anything to effect change. If you want to effect change you need to go to your state legislators.

I want to add one more thing here. The rant in your profile has been removed. This site is not a soapbox that you can use to attack someone, whether provoked or not. Any attempts to do so will be removed.

If you want to try and generate support for or against any person or issue, may I suggest petitionspot.com.

Most government agencies are overworked, undermanned, and workers are underpaid and over stressed. This means that the agency has to do more with less. To solve this problem an agency needs more money to hire additional staff or the agency will have to contract out some of their jobs or responsibilities.

Also a government agency gets a set budget each year that they cannot exceed and is set by lawmakers, i.e. federal, state, or local gevernment. This means that an eagency cannot spend more money than they receive each year.
