Re: child support for college student
Student is living on campus; mother cut child off because her boyfriend doesn't like the child; mother still receives child support but does not share it with the child; how can the child get this support without having to hire an attorney? State of Missouri. The state told the child they couldn't do this without an attorney.

Sorry but support is paid to the parent, not the child.

She can't do it even with an attorney, support is paid to the parent, not to the child. The child would have to try and get another guardian appointed to see after their needs.
