Sorry I was new to this website... Hi, I'm 13 years old and I'm a virgin. I take birth control because of my period that's always been out of sorts. Recently 3 months ago my doctor said to take it everyday and I won't get my period anymore and maybe now and then some spotting. I take the birth control every night at 9 pm and have been for a while and its been great. But on march break Tuesday and Wednesday I took the pill later because I lost track of time and had a long nap. Thursday I got a small period and didn't think much of it. But the blood has increased and I have my period still (its the next thursday). So in total 7 days before I started taking the pill everyday like eve on my period it would only last 5 days. And my period has an odour of apple cidar vinegar and/or rotten milk. Can someone PLEAASE tell me if this is normal or if my period will go away soon or if I should go to the doctor. I really need advice thanks.

It is probably normal, but you should consult your doctor right away. Any symptoms out of the normal should be discussed with your physician.

I would suggest you contact your doctor young lady.

I can also assure you that there will be others here soon with more definitive and insightful advice.

If you were continuously taking the pill, and the schedule was messed up, even a little, you could end up getting a normal period. What week of the pills were you on? I'm not sure why your doctor would tell you to take the pill continuously, my doctor always told me it wasn't healthy. I know they make a certain type that you can take continuously, my doctor only prescribed it to me when I was breast feeding, and when I stopped, he put me back on the normal 21 day pack.

The odor I'm not sure on, but any strange or strong odor should be checked out by your doc. It could be a yeast infection.
