    Wallpaper removal from unpainted plaster
I have been removing old wallpaper from plaster walls with a steamer with no problem. (the commercial remover and fabric softener solutions were useless) However, I am now in a room that apparently was unpainted, thus making it extremely difficult. It comes off in gluey teeny bits. Any suggestions??

Did you score the paper before steaming, or use a sponge on paste softener? If paper comes off in small bits usually means the water vapor is not getting through the paper. Is this metallic paper? You need to really score that.
