Instead of fame, seek to learn your craft and hone your talent. If you do that, and people are truly entertained by what you do, you'll become famous.

A lot of people start up on places like YouTube... you could try that and upload videos of yourselves performing. It sounds like you are quite young at the moment though (4th grade etc) so I agree with excon on this one. :) When you're old enough, you could try doing gigs at bars/clubs. X

Youtube sensations are always an option and Simon Cowell is doing auditions for his X-Factor and course there is always American Idol. But remember being famous has its good and bad issues but everyone young has dreamed of becoming famous. With the internet it is possible to creat a following so if you really want to fulfill a dream of being famous, create a following and use Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and promote promote promote and seek your dream. If millions of people follow you or watch your video, you know you have something and just go for it.

Yes YouTube is a great way to showcase your talent and reach a great number of people online. Social Media has really made things easier these days. Best wishes.
