Child's status if mother is a foreign diplomat; father is a permanent resident
I am a permanent US resident while my bride is a foreign diplomat on a G1 visa. We are expecting a child. At the time of the scheduled birth, the mother will still be in G1 status.

What will be the residence status of the child? I understand that children born to foreign diplomats are not eligible for US citizenship. However, in this case, the father (me) is a US resident. Does my residency override the G1 limitation?
