    Who pays court costs?
    Hi we have been to court and the other person was ordered to pay court cost around 12,000. But can't pay ,so our solisitor has asked us to pay can he do this help.

    Certainly NOT, NO..
    If the judgement was against the OTHER party then THEY are liable for it.
    Whether they have any money is NOT your concern.

    If they cannot pay then they are other methods available to you, all dependent on your location.

    Near as I can figure from what the OP posted, the solicitor may have advanced these court costs, OP was awarded a judgment and now it appears that somehow the judgment debtor cannot be made to pay them.

    If that is the case, OP should reimburse his solicitor.

    OK I cheated slightly here.
    The OP is in the UK, so it's slightly different.

    I must admit this does seem like a rather disorganised solicitor indeed, especially with the amount of costs involved.
    Normally After The Event insurance would be purchased to cover their own costs at least and possibly expenses as well.

    Also we have Legal Aid, which offers fully funded representation.
