    That code may be indicating that there's a problem with the Throttle Position Sensor. I'm skeptical, however, the TPS is the real issue. Your problem may be a more garden-variety problem, where the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil need replacing:

    I would replace the ICM and coil, if you have 120,000 miles or more on the car. Your symptoms are characteristic of a failing ICM and coil.
