Venting warm air from wood burning stove downstairs to upper level

I have a wood burning stove in my basement and am looking to put in some vents between the basement ceiling and upper storry floor to allow the warm air from the stove to rise to the second story. The vents would not be contacted to the home heating system. Does this make any sense to do?

Hi, I have a Worcester 24 CDI boiler the heating is fine and the hotwater downstairs is also fine. However when I turn the shower on upstairs the water is only warm unless I turn the cold water tap on slightly in the sink. Can you advise what it may be. Thanks. Jon.
