    Who can I make a dry well for Laundry washer machine?
    The laundry room is in a room in the of the house,by the carport,all plumbing is in the front of the house. Bathrooms and kitchen are all in front of the house, sewer also in front to the street

    To make a dry well, you will need to check with your local plumbing inspectors to see if it is allowed. If so, you will need to dig a hole, at least 10 ft from the house or as required, 4 ft. deep and 2-3 ft wide, put in a perforated liner or a trash can that has been drilled, fill it with stone, put a cover on it and then run the drain pipe through the top. Keep the trap set up, it will keep cold air and "things" from crawling back in. You need a big dry well because the washing machine put out a lot of water.

    I agree and if you are inside city limts it isn't likely gouing to happen. Most cities do not allow and gray water discharge to ground.

    My washing machine dry well is flooding my lawn. How can I fix this problem? We pumped the water out yesterday thought we had it beat after the second load the water resurfaced. What can I do to correct this?

    Hi Jamaicajen...

    It sounds like the drywell has gotten filled with lint and soap scum to the point that it has filled all the gaps in the drywell in such a way that water can no longer filtrate down and through the rocks/gravel, etc. to drain into the ground.

    Here, about the only solution that will be permanent is to dig out the old drywell or dig a new drywell and start all over again. In this case, be sure to follow a good plan for drywell... use cinderblocks, rocks, gravel, and a weed blocker on top before installing topsoil and grass, etc..
